Thinking, building, controlling and fun
I got experience with the game from the beta on. I can say that you will learn quite some things from this fun quirky game. It can be easy and it can be challenging depending which way you want to play it. Do you never want to let a Kerbal die? :) Do you want to do the mission in one or multiple flights. It is one of the best space simulations. You can play in sandbox mode or missions thought I recomment to play mission mode after you tested around a bit in the sandbox mode, because those goals add quite some fun. What do you do in the game? First you build a vehicle. There are alot of options. You can build rockets, buggys (cars), planes, planetary stations and space stations. Of course you can mix everything couple and decouple it and so on. You take care of how much fuel, engines, energy sources, parachutes and so on. So you can do alot min-maxing. After building a vehicle you launch/start it and fly to your desired location or figure out what you did wrong :) The planets are huge and they are far away. In the latest version they added a neat feature to train your Kerbals (AlienHumans) so they can do some basic maneuvers and repairs for you. Why should I play it? The game gives you a rewarding feeling when you manage to land on a planet or moon and make it back to "Earth" alive because it is that challenging. The game is not hyper realistic, because it's ment to be fun and playable. The physics are still outstanding and you will learn alot.
