demo worth playing
Kathy Rain is a nice 2D adventure. I especially like athmosphere from another world or time. And the music is awesome. I really liked Kathy saying ironic comments - she reminds me of April Ryan from The Longest Journey. The game is yet another detective story...

Feels great, but one very annoying bug
An intriguing demo for a well-made game. That is, one bug is really taking the fun away when playing on OS X 10.9: Whenever the cursor gets close to the edge of the screen, it freezes there. Sometimes I was not able to get it to move again (e.g. by pressing ESC several times) and had to restart the application. Too bad! Will wait for this to be fixed before buying...

A good demo
1 hour short, this demo put you right in the context. The voice acting is good and the graphics in a pixel style make aren't breaking the immersion. Kathy is endearing and the puzzle part seem's quite mastered. One other solid point is the music ! If you like point and click game and detective story you should definitely give a chance to this demo.

Does exactly what it's supposed to
This demo checks all the mandatory boxes as far as what you're in your own right to expect from a point & click adventure game demo. For a playtime of roughly 15-30 minutes (depending on if you like to check on everything in each scene or not), the demo gives an overview on basic gameplay features - moving in and between the scenes, interacting with items/inventory, talking with other characters - as well as a glimpse of the quality of music, writing, animations and voice acting. Also includes a few environmental (character/item) puzzles and one pure logic puzzle. By the end of a demo, you should have every information you need to know if you want to buy the full game and go on from the rather intriguing ending cliffhanger.
