Your favorite smart-mouthed, kick-ass detective is back, and she’s in for a wild ride!
When this story begins, things are looking dire for private eye Kathy Rain. It’s the year 1998, and she is utterly broke: The Katmobile is running on fumes, the fridge is nearly empty, and an eviction is looming close.
However, opportunity arrives when a big cash reward is announced for solving the 'Soothsayer' case — a string of serial murders with a death grip on the metropolitan city of Kassidy.
With great reward comes great risk — will this be the case that defines Kathy’s career, or will she become the next victim of the Soothsayer?

A well-written, well-executed game that had me engaged all the way. A strong contender for the best point-and-click game I've ever played.
I hope it sells well enough for us to get Kathy Rain 3.
The first Kathy Rain was awesome, and this one actually is just as good if not better. Great writing, great acting, fantastic story. I couldn't stop playing until I got to the end.
The story, characters and plot are very strong. You are completely taken in. The artwork is beautiful. The puzzles are fun and easy to solve. Just like part 1, an absolute must.
It's a good sequel that puts a nice bow on the first game. Unfortunately that means that you NEED to play the first one, despite the game doing a light recap at the beginning and having it fresh in your mind is preferable. It's a story about the protagonist Katy Rain first and foremost, at times funny at times unnerving, at times touching.
On the art side it's good with some interesting sequences that are better experienced for yourself.
Gameplay-wise it's very similar to the first one, mainly point and click with a few (maybe too few) minigames peppered in between. It's an homage to the point&click games of old: faithful but uninnovative.
Overall if you liked the first game then you should play this - a sequel that improves in every way.
A worthy sequel to the brilliant Kathy Rain, and followup to one of the finest point and click adventure games ever made: Whispers of a Machine. This engrossing mystery adventure had me at the edge of my seat for the entire 23hr playtime i put into it. Truly a masterpiece of adventure game design and storytelling. Clifftop games have three incredible P&C titles under their belts now. I can't wait to see what they come up with next.
