Outdated since JA2
I had fun with this game when it was new, but it's actually bad apart from the characters and the voice acting. The pathfinding is terrible as in JA1, since the trees are so dense that one hardly can see where a path is. The aiming is terrible, since one can hardly see how the line of sight is blocked, so it usually boils down to luck who hits first. Their is a terrible turn limit, so one has to rush in at all cost. The strategical part is cut out, since their are no sectors as in JA1 or JA2. At least the characters still have a charm, which hardly any other game franchise achieved.

Great tactical and turn based game
If you enjoy X-COM and turn-based tactical games, you'll likely enjoy this one as well. It's not a new release - in fact, it's an older MS-DOS game, a classic from the past. I bet old-school gamers will love revisiting this title. However, if you're primarily looking for something more modern, it may feel a bit dated. But if what you seek is simply a fun, great game, this old-school tactical RPG is a wonderful option. I've been playing it for over 4 hours now, and I have no regrets about purchasing it. It's just a wonderful old gem.
