Jagged Alliance 2: Wildfire brings you back to Arulco. Although what you find there is in no way pleasing! The population is being terrorized by a reckless army; in the meantime the main export goods are drugs. Subversion and fraudulence has infiltrated all levels of local government and the ever-present Mafia has his fingers in many pies.
You are working undercover on behalf of the US government and your goal is to destroy the mighty drug cartel. You'll need a skilled hand to put together the right team of mercenaries, the negotiating skills of a diplomat to get the sceptical population onto your side. More importantly, you must have the strategic genius of a general and the fighting tactics of a guerrilla.
Should you fail, your "client" will deny all knowledge of your existence.
Fantastic, addictive turn-based tactical gameplay with some role-playing elements
Even more authentic weapons and equipment than in the original
It’s so challenging, it will make you cry

Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.
this game is basically jagged alliance 2 with more weapons, more buildings, same story, same characters, same mercs, same graphics, same dialogue, same enemies, same bloodcats, same bugs, SAME GAME
it is not worth money, it should just be a free mod available from their website...
This expansion was never completely patched, it has very -odd- changes to the merc roster and adds little new to the game that free expansions don't simply do better. In that sense, it's comparable to JA3 in that it's a minimal effort remake of the original game which adds absolutely nothing to the gameplay at all.
It is superfluous.
I would strongly encourage getting the original game at least, and heading over to the Bear Pit to get the 1.13 patch, which is uniquely customisable in itself, and adds several more layers to gameplay.
Hilariously bad, the game doesn't even attempt to mask how poorly balanced it is.
I am a very patient gamer, a huge fan of turn based tactical games and Jagged Alliance in particular - I finished JA:Deadly Games, JA2, Unfinished Business, JA3. Finished even 1.13 with submods like Arulco Revisited and AIMNAS. I've played and finished obscure turn based tactical games like Bionic Battle Mutants, Codex of Victory, Templar Battleforce, Fallout Tactics, Phantom Doctrine, and many many more I'm sure I'm forgetting.
Jagged Alliance 2 Wildfire is probably the worst of the lot, the balancing is incredibly poor that the command you'll use most often is Quicksave/Quickload. Your mercs are paper thin and cannot seem to hit enemies in standing in wide open areas, yet the enemies have a preternatural ability to snipe even with crappy handguns. To the point where you can be clad in Kevlar, lying prone in tall grass, behind a tree, and it will all mean nothing against a blue (entry level enemy) guy with a 9mm pistol who can fire three shots and take out your merc in one turn without missing once. Same guy you can shoot at with a Colt Commado 5.56 rifle and miss all 3 shots.
This happens constantly. I got so far as to liberate Chitzena in this version, but this game is an exercise in frustration, by far the weakest of the classic Jagged Alliance games. Steer clear and stick with 1.13 and its submods, even at a discounted price of $1.79 Wildfire feels like a ripoff
Hello,
I bought this game a few weeks ago. I play it on Windows 7. The most important NPC's do not want to talk about important quest things. So, impossible to get money from miners. Impossible to get food for Rebels. And a lot more problems with this. Game is not playable as it should be. I contacted GOG, because GOG promised support. I bought the game from them. After a few days, they send a message like "It is o so bussy because of Corona and you will have to wait". A week later again and so on, After 3 weeks, somebody says: "No, we can not help". You can get a Wallet Funds refund. So I can not get my money back, but I have to order a other game in the future. So first they let me wait for 3 weeks and then no promised support and no money back. Waiting is not the problem. Also no solution is also not a problem. But is is the combination. No compensation what so ever.
Better not buy this game from GOG.
If somebody has a solution for the problem with the NPC's, please let me know or place a review.
Have a nice day and stay healthy.
