Still hoping for a sequel
I really love Jade Empire. It's such a unique game filled with "BioWare magic"

Good old-bioware game
The sales pitch for the game was that you'd be able to play as kung-fu heroes like Jackie-chan and they completely delivered on it.. The writing is solid, definitely haven't seen some of the story beats in other rpgs. The combat can be intuitive if you let it (though you can end up fighting the camera alongside your enemies) and through a 30-40 hour gametime you are getting that near constant reinforced feeling of your character getting stronger. It could've used a few more months of development but that is the way of these kinds of games especially bioware games. Weakest part is how rushed certain story beats feel and I will spoil it right now but you get a fast travel option but only two locations to travel to. It's not to say that the story doesn't feel like it wraps up but it genuinely could've used 1 to 2 chapters extra to make certain characters get more of a limelight. It's usually cheap enough to warrant spending money on for what I think is a pretty solid experience.

A flawed but classic Bioware gem.
Clunky combat and some pretty poor voice acting at times can be a little jarring but it's a fun martial arts adventure clearly inspired by 70s and 80s films of the same genre. Great classic Bioware writing and some very different settings are enough to make up for some sometimes tedious combat and clunky mechanics. If you enjoyed Knights of the Old Republic, give it a go!
