Fun, but no depth
This is a PC port of an android game - and you can see it right from the start. The game is fun to play, but very simplistic. Usually you will be leading 3-4 different units. One of them will be a hero, the only unit that has special skills that you can actively use. There are several heroes to choose from and, contrary to android version, you will get them all with the game. There is little depth to the mechanics. In fact, the main strategy is to move one unit a bit forward while the others wait for sth to shoot. Repeat until win. No easy to play, hard to master. Just easy to play. Though I admit higher difficulties can be challenging. The storyline is ... well there is a story. There could've been no story, and it would've made little difference, but the story is there. You may notice it. It's kind of fun, it's very light and.. simple, like the game. The UI is virtually nonexistent, no minimap, selection view - everything you might know from StarCraft or similar RTS games is not present here. There are keyboard shortcuts though, and that make the game playable on PC. You have to learn them to play proficiently. There's just a few of them though. To sum up - I like this game. A lot, in fact. It's a great way to pass some time, play a mission or two, a challenge, try a new hero, etc... It's just not a great game. Worth the price, though.
