Rather short and buggy
As the videos shows and others already said, the whole game revolves around the time rewind concept, which is really cool and while not exactly unique, isn't used too often in other games. (I remember Braid and The Sands of Time using a similar approach - but those were platformers and this one is more of a light-weight combat-oriented tactical RPG). Alas, that means that there is no saving available during a level - at all. Nor are there any checkpoints. You have to finish each level in one go. Is it getting really late at night and you need to get up early in the morning? Well ... tough luck! You either finish what you started or quit now and you'll need to restart the whole level again (some levels can easily take a couple of hours to finish)... Worse than that - twice I finished a whole level, yet the exit icon never appeared. So I had to replay them again completely. There are complaints on forums that some people even had to replay them *multiple* times, before the end-of-level event actually triggered. Speaking of bugs - these aren't the only ones: characters are some times unable to pick up items (e.g. grenades) or are suddenly unable to use some of their abilities (e.g. the remotely operated robot unable to kick/punch). And so on. All this is known to developers - for years now. Yet, they never fixed it, which leaves a bitter aftertaste... The story and characters are quite cliche, as some people mention, but that didn't bother me. It fits okay with the game. Unfortunately the whole thing is rather short and ends on a cliff-hanger - promising a sequel, which we'll probably never see... Bottom line: I like the whole concept and quite understand that it probably lacked funding for professional polish. It's worth playing and if you dig the whole idea, do give it a go. Still can't give it five stars though. I'd say about 3.5 - yet since it's an indie title, I'll gladly round it up to four.
