Classic Beat 'Em Up
Iron Commando is a beat 'em up which was originally released only for the Super Famicom. In terms of gameplay, it feels a bit like a mix between Cadillacs & Dinosaurs by Capcom and Undercover Cops by IREM. While there are only 2 playable characters who don't feel drastically different and have pretty much just the standard moveset for a beat 'em up, the core gameplay is satisfying enough to make up for it with good hit detection and quality sound design. Like Cadillacs & Dinosaurs, you can pick up a variety of firearms throughout the game which feel very good to use. The game is a bit on the long side for the genre, but there are some stages which mix up the gameplay a little bit by letting you ride a motorcycle or a mine cart. If you like action games and 90's beat 'em ups in particular, make sure to give this one a try. It is head and shoulders above competing titles such as Rival Turf or even the SNES port of Final Fight.
