In Iratus you find yourself fighting for the forces of darkness in the role of the titular necromancer—Iratus, recently freed from his millennia-long imprisonment.
You control an obedient army of the living dead, with skeletons, zombies, banshees and many other unliving warriors. Create your soldiers the only way a necromancer knows how: from the body parts of your slain enemies!
Expand and improve your underground lair. Strengthen your servants by researching secret rituals. Explore the twisted corridors and underground catacombs, and battle against lobotomized miners, greedy dwarves and corrupt mercenaries. Aid Iratus in his quest to recapture and eclipse his former power. Lead him to conquer the forces of good and unleash an eternal kingdom of death upon the world!
The sheer variety of tactical and strategic options makes Iratus a true treat for any ardent fans of the roguelike genre.
Play on the side of evil, embodied by the necromancer Iratus!
Expand and improve your underground lair.
19 types of obedient servants: zombies, vampires, skeletons, mummies, banshees and many more!
Craft minions from the body parts of your conquered enemies.
Advanced combat system: to win you need to know both the strengths and weaknesses of your troops and enemies.
Iratus can kill his enemies not only by magic or claw but also by draining their sanity!
Each minion has six unique abilities for a total of nearly one-hundred abilities for you to command.
Four talent trees that alter the way you play: Alchemy, Magic, Ire and Destruction.
Roguelike elements: minions that die are gone for good and the game saves automatically, making each choice irreversible.
Detailed 2D graphics and a gloomy atmosphere of dark fantasy.
Various difficulty levels, satisfying every type of player from novice to hardcore.
Iratus himself is voiced by the voice-acting legend Stefan Weyte, famous for his performance as Caleb in the cult game series "Blood"!
Enjoying this game quite a bit. It works well on a handheld or desktop. I don't mind a challenging game and the mechanics are fun. I lose a lot, but it feels winnable.
Being the villain is always cooler than being the good guy.
Therefore, I prefer this game to Darkest Dungeon.
Compared to the latter, Iratus seems more straightforward in terms of showing the player what to do and how to win battles.
Sound effects (voice acting, spellcasting and slashing etc.) are also realistic and feels good.
Crafting (creating) your minions using different ingredients adds a bit of inventory management to the game too, which is a plus.
Overall, I will continue to play this game and unlock as many minions as possible.
Good job, developers! Thank you.
It only took one OP character (who was also unhittable) in the final boss fight to spoil the game for me. I love strategy games, but when you create a no-win scenario for the final boss fight. Well, that's BS. The OP character wasn't even the boss! I am giving it 5 stars because it was free, but I won't be buying the DLC.
Every time a game is successful we get a bunch of clones and before you know it we've got ourselves a new genre. Darkest dungeon was one of those that was successful enough to launch a thousand imitators.
This game was supposes to be a DD like game from the perspective of the other side. The only problem is that it's not only nowhere near good enough to be compared to DD, but it's nowhere near good enough when compared to the trailer.
The best way of describing this game is that is doesn't have a soul. This is a cash grab. Someone saw the success of DD and wanted some of that money so this cash grab was born. There's not really anything else to say.
At first, it looks like the Darkest Dungeon. But balance and fighting system is pretty far from it. Base is different. You can passively upgrade a backup units during the game. Or you can win the game with only one party. Your units have only a health, while enemies also have a mental bar. And the best thing is - it's faster! You don't have to wait for unit replica all the time. But you also don't need to turn it off. The game speed is just perfect.
It may be less complicated then DD as well, but much more attractive and involving. Therefore, more playable.
Also, you play as a necromancer. Which is just evil. Not seeking for the revenge for a past life events, not good and fluffy deep inside. Just evil. This is awesome.
