Iratus: Wrath of the Necromancer DLC is now available!

In Iratus you find yourself fighting for the forces of darkness in the role of the titular necromancer—Iratus, recently freed from his millennia-long imprisonment.

You control an obedient army of the living dead, with skeletons, zombies, banshees and many other unliving warriors. Create your soldiers the only way a necromancer knows how: from the body parts of your slain enemies!

Expand and improve your underground lair. Strengthen your servants by researching secret rituals. Explore the twisted corridors and underground catacombs, and battle against lobotomized miners, greedy dwarves and corrupt mercenaries. Aid Iratus in his quest to recapture and eclipse his former power. Lead him to conquer the forces of good and unleash an eternal kingdom of death upon the world!

The sheer variety of tactical and strategic options makes Iratus a true treat for any ardent fans of the roguelike genre.

  • Play on the side of evil, embodied by the necromancer Iratus!
  • Expand and improve your underground lair.
  • 19 types of obedient servants: zombies, vampires, skeletons, mummies, banshees and many more!
  • Craft minions from the body parts of your conquered enemies.
  • Advanced combat system: to win you need to know both the strengths and weaknesses of your troops and enemies.
  • Iratus can kill his enemies not only by magic or claw but also by draining their sanity!
  • Each minion has six unique abilities for a total of nearly one-hundred abilities for you to command.
  • Four talent trees that alter the way you play: Alchemy, Magic, Ire and Destruction.
  • Roguelike elements: minions that die are gone for good and the game saves automatically, making each choice irreversible.
  • Detailed 2D graphics and a gloomy atmosphere of dark fantasy.
  • Various difficulty levels, satisfying every type of player from novice to hardcore.
  • Iratus himself is voiced by the voice-acting legend Stefan Weyte, famous for his performance as Caleb in the cult game series "Blood"!

Definitely worth it; check this game out

Enjoying this game quite a bit. It works well on a handheld or desktop. I don't mind a challenging game and the mechanics are fun. I lose a lot, but it feels winnable.

Guys, I don't know about this one

Darkest Dungeon was a game I never could get into. The grinding required to make progress had a sedative effect on me. But who doesn't love the art? The narrator? The promise of a unique turn-based RPG system? Well Iratus understands these things, but only skin-deep. Darkest Dungeon had this rough, heavily inked art that was dark and also covered up what were essentially Flash animations. Iratus has... High-definition models that have been heavily processed. This HIGHLIGHTS the horrible animations. The narrator? Horrible, horrible performance. Why they got, what I assume is an 80-year-old man to voice Nathan Explosion from Dethklok is beyond me. And I was literally wincing at the writing which I can only describe as embarrassing. There is also a mandatory tutorial that I think actually confused me more than if one didn't exist. The game is not half as complicated as it may seem at first. A lot of this is due to the amount of half-baked ideas that feel shoehorned in. If your minions die, you have to start from scratch! ...Unless you find a brain that's the same level as the guy you lost? There's a crafting system for your minions where you need to stitch together different parts to make them! ...But I always had every one I needed? There's an enemy insanity meter that gives a chance to kill them when drained! ...Or you can just attack their health and get a guaranteed kill? I'm sure there's more complexity later, but I don't feel like the grind is any less severe than the game Iratus is aping. So what does this game bring to the table that Darkest Dungeon doesn't give me? Uh, I can complete this game without dedicating my life to it. That IS a positive, actually. But why would I want to?

I like the concept!

Being the villain is always cooler than being the good guy. Therefore, I prefer this game to Darkest Dungeon. Compared to the latter, Iratus seems more straightforward in terms of showing the player what to do and how to win battles. Sound effects (voice acting, spellcasting and slashing etc.) are also realistic and feels good. Crafting (creating) your minions using different ingredients adds a bit of inventory management to the game too, which is a plus. Overall, I will continue to play this game and unlock as many minions as possible. Good job, developers! Thank you.
