Description
Infliction is an interactive nightmare, a horrific exploration of the darkness that can lurk within the most normal-looking suburban home.

Wander through the remnants of a once-happy family, reading letters and journals, listening to voicemails, and piecing together clues to understand the terrible events that led you here.

However, you are not alone. Something else has remained in this house, a being of infinite grief and rage. While you hunt for clues, it hunts you, waiting for its chance to unleash its anger on you.

Can you survive long enough to find atonement?

You are not alone
A restless AI enemy will be stalking you, and you really don’t want to be caught. Will you hide, or find some way to fight back?

Warped reality
Explore a realistic, interactive suburban house that gets more fractured and twisted the deeper you go.

Piece it together
Read letters, find diaries, and examine the precious mementos of a broken family to understand the terrible events that led you here.

Almost too real
The story is grounded in real-world domestic tragedy, the fears and hurts that we all know: broken hearts, betrayed trust, grief, and loss.

Light and dark
The power of Unreal renders a photorealistic environment with dynamic lights and shadows that can dazzle you or plunge you into darkness.

Just Terrible

Game gives no tutorial in if the ghost can hear you moving about at all, she also camps one area a lot, it is also very hard to tell what level of the house she is on and she could be below you as you have loads of static and foot steps. The game was just very boring to play and just quit when I ran into the ghost twice cause I could not tell if she was up or downstairs. There is also no way to modify files to change the fov as there was no slider because apparently it's a great idea to have a low field of view on pc. I WISH I could refund this, atleast I got it on sale. AVOID!

Less than the sum of its parts

A mix of walking simulator, stealth game and puzzle/story driven game that is somehow less than the sum of its parts. There's plenty of humour and gorey horror to be found in here. But the game wants to be SCARY and DRAMATIC too. If only its creator could have decided between the two and had stuck to its guns till the end! In its Extended Cut, "Infliction" is like Rosemary's baby meets Hellraiser meets your Saturday afternoon TV drama about an abused wife and an alcoholic husband. The game jumps from genre to genre, from gameplay to gameplay, offering beatufiul art and atmosphere, but seriously lacking in coherence or a true message. After having played for half an hour I found nothing to be scared of. I died plenty of times, sometimes even as a cut-scene transition between one chapter and the next, realising that nothing was really happening in me, neither in terms of emotional investment nor in terms of fear. The whole haunted house thing is done much better in "Visage". Stress is much higher in "Song of horror" or "Outlast". Plots and art are much better in both episodes of "Layers of fear" and "The Signifier". And other recent games like "Don't be afraid" or "The beast inside" are way more entertaining and cohesive. Despite its flaws, "Infliction" has some really good ideas. Using a Polaroid camera as a weapon is funnier than expected. The voice-off, or narrator, who keeps laughing at you when you fail via hand written messages or phone calls is definitely a nice plus. It gives "Infliction" a personal touch, like the cooking tv show or the "Top of the world" by The Carpenters reference. "Infliction" shows some promise but doesn't really succeed in any of its ambitions. Buy on sale, definitely not worth its original price.

scary, morality

not for sensitive not stretched, 4.5h gameplay is simple, good graphics there are very few horror games, but, this is the fourth game, with almost the same scenario, and it starts to get boring. Visage House on the hill Evil inside Layers of fear, very monotonous

Not bad, but not good either

This game would be at least decent if it had been one or two hours shorter. The main task is to find 4 or 5 items, each item is a cycle, and once you have done this twice or three times, it becomes boring and tedious. Besides, the game is a mixed bag in terms of presentation. Some things look extremely good but some other things look ugly and mediocre at best. To end, the last chapter is literally crap. You have to find a specific item and it's located in a random place each time. I lost literally one hour and I couldn't find it, I had to restart the game in order to change that random location and finally find it, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to finish the game.

optimize better

Optimize better. This game runs almost as bad as Arkham Knight day one but with PS3/XBox360 textures. Lot's of P.T. scares. Lots of Silent Hill references. Nothing new. But Cooking with Massimo made it worth the trip. Stereotypes of other people's cultures are always funny.
