You could call this Infested Planet 2
The Planetary Campaign expansion for Infested Planet is more than a new mode, it's more like a total conversion mod. Essentially it plays like the campaign map from Dawn of War: Dark Crusade where you and the aliens take turns capturing territories on a random planet. You have several armies of marines that do things like fortify territories against invasion or move into alien territory. Many territories have technologies to capture, and winning the game requires taking down several alien strongholds. The resulting battles play out like a random skirmish map. However, you'll find many significant rule changes in these battles. Many marine types have been replaced or altered (officers replaced by medics, scouts now carry stun weapons). There is now a penalty for letting your marines get killed (each army has a morale counter that decreases with casualties and lost buildings). You can just sneak in, grab the technology crate and retreat your forces. Like I said, it's like a sequel! Fear not, fans of the original, these changes only apply to Planetary Campaign mode. This is a much more significant DLC than Trickster's Arsenal. If you like Infested Planet it's hard not to recommend this.
