Description
1939 - the eve of World War II. Nazi agents are about to get their hands on a weapon more dangerous than the atom bomb. Only Indy can stop them before they unleash the deadly secret that sank Atlantis!

In Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, you play the role of Indiana Jones, famed archaeologist-adventurer, as he attempts to discover and explore long-fabled Atlantis. Nazi agents, eager to unleash the powers of Atlantis against an unsuspecting world, are hot on Indy’s heels… or have they already passed him?

Here’s where you come in: you direct the actions of Indy (and, occasionally, his one-time colleague turned psychic, Sophia Hapgood) in his search for Atlantis. Periodically, Indy will be called upon to drive a car, ride a camel, pilot a balloon, operate a submarine, and repair and use Atlantean machinery. Beyond that, there will be a heap of mysterious puzzles to unravel and a slew of dangerous encounters to survive. With the help of your wits, your fists, and your trusted companion, you and Indy will eventually discover the true Fate of Atlantis!

  • Point 'n' click your way through fistfights, puzzles, balloon rides, car chases and Indy one-liners.
  • Explore over 200 spectacular locations as you take Indy to such exotic backdrops as Monte Carlo, Algiers, and the island of Crete.
  • Hear exclusive iMUSE create a musical score that follows your every move.
  • Play and replay - three unique challenging paths to vanquish the Reich.

Perfect game

When it came out, it was regarded as the best adventure game ever made. 20 years later, it still is.

Save/Load Missing, get stuck without

This is one of the best games ever made and replaying it brings back a lto of joy and memories. However, missing Save/Load option makes the game impossible to progress in multiple occasions. If you do not answer questions correctly you get stuck in a loop in certain areas of the game. Please, please, bring back the Load/Save option, other wise you would have ruined this game :\ Basically, as it is right now I woudl have to follow a manual and be devoided of any pleasure of actually solving things on my own. As a suggestion for the GOG team: for future when dealing with quest games always add Load/Save features please.

One of the best games of the 90's

To me this game was the summum of the point and click. I missed a few of the great classics like green fandango, so I don't want to say this one was the best, but it's definitely up there. I have played it many times over the years, from when I was 8 to now that I'm almost 30... But let's be honest a second, it's impossible to finish the game without Sophia, right?

Hasn't aged so well

The graphics are beautiful and there's a good sense of humor, I also like how you travel for adventures... But there stops the fun for me. The puzzles are usually very tedious (pixel hunting in a pitch black room, or slowly wandering around a giant space to solve an obscure puzzle isnt my idea of fun), they are usually boring to solve, or absurd in their resolution. The story hasnt drawn me in either. I know it's not very fair to judge this game by today standards, but neither is doing it with nostalgic eyes.

Some stupid riddles ruin the fun.

This is the game that made my cousin back when there was no intrenet to decide to quit gaming for good. He had already played Monkey Island 1 and 2 and this was the 3rd Lucas game he bought. He spended 3 days trying to solve the Bull's Horns riddle in Crete. This is the stupidest riddle ever. But even with the hintbook riddles such as the robot statue that guards the door seem too difficult to figure out on your own. Objects that you need to reuse many times. Things in the background that you need to notice like the final stones alignment. In Monkey island 2 there was a moment where there is a phone in a tree in the Jungle and you talk to someone. The recent commentary that was added in game says that this was the voice of the woman that worked in the help center and that they made more money from the phonecalls asking for help than they got from the game itself.
