Description

Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 is a very niche focused game that will appeal to a very specific crowd of people, unfortunately I'm not one of them. This certainly doesn't mean the game is bad, on the contrary the battle system and art is very enjoyable. If you can get over the mediocre narrative and annoying characters, then Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 might be worth a try.

It is delightful to see a developer take feedback on a game and then fix the major problems with its design. A remake forHyperdimension Neptunia was definitely needed and I am happy to report that Re;Birth1 is a success. This is one to look into for fans of anime girls or someone looking for their RPG fix.

A silly masterpiece
This game is a masterpiece but only if you like a silly and absurd story with a lot of game and anime references. I live the combat, it's addictive, and more complex than I thought previously. You don't have to farm a lot if you make use of the game mechanics.

Fun game but no Cloud Saves 3
I lost five hours of progress due to my local save file not getting backed up when I changed OS. I had fun and was planning on getting the remaining DLC I was missing, but I've now switched to a platform that supports Cloud Saves. I found the hybrid action RPG elements engaging with a lot of depth and potential for replayability. Runs at a consistent 30FPS during action portions on my older 2in1 laptop at 1080p fullscreen. Works well with my 360 controller but needed a mouse/keyboard to turn it the first time loading up. I don’t regret buying it, but it will cause me to verify feature sets from GOG before buying in the future.

Hooked on this game
I love this game. The soundtrack and everything. The story and dialogue really kept me going. I’ve sunk over 150 hours in and playing through multiple times and I’m thinking about playing again
