Be warned

If you are looking for an "experience", being shown some wines, pick a bottle shape for your wine, meet very quirkily written characters and dont really care about the gameplay, this game has that. It also has very simple but nice artstyle. On the chance thats enough for you, wait till its on sale for 10 euros max. If you are interested in gampley, you may continue reading. This is in no way a wine making sim. Its incredibly basic and doesnt even feature possibility to make cuvee (or i have not found it). The rating system of wines is insane, where it rewards disgusting 10% sour pisswater with high ratings. The action pool concept is interesting and in a better game might be really entertaining. The story mode took me 1h40 to finish and i am not sure if it didnt bug out. I fired a dude and in next cutscene evil was defeated with his help. I wouldnt be so harsh but the price on this game is 20 euros. It isnt worth even 10. I am glad someone tried to tackle difficult concept of wine making but this is so incredibly overpriced that it left sour taste in my mouth (much like all the wine i ever made in the game, i mean almost full acidity 10% scored 84? i bet i can get better wine in a box for 1 euro, unlike this one which game priced at 16 euro (1l box of red wine, 2l cola of your choice = students sangria, 1l box of white wine, 2l sprite = students champagne)) Btw in the begining i wrote about quirky characters but they might actualy be demons straight from the lowest levels of hell snce their talks of podcasts, holistic medicine, joga and other "quirky" topics was like nails on chalkboard. Some of them are also disgusting hipster types with wierd fistulas. Buy rimmworld instead. At least there you can feed quirky characters to your pet huskies and its a better org sim in every way.

Good mobile 5eur game, bad 20eur PC game

Well, I expected something chill ANNO-like chain-builder game or at least some logical one. But unfortunately, it kinda strange "time manager" with puzzle elements, where you need to plan how to use small square field to manage processes in correct order. It is ok, and at start it really feels like you not experienced enough to understand full weight of mechanics, but after final of story mode (2 hours) - you starting to realize that something goes wrong. You have 90% of game not opened, story ended and all 2 hours you are doing one by one same steps on repeat. I am going to play it still, to open more options of wine and opportunities, coz now I have small feeling that when I will open progress, I will have more interesting challange. But now, it is absolutely boring repetative game with no huge planning or mechanics. Two strange things are: 1. Ratings of wine, which are higher 70% even when you mess it specially. And 2. Story is definately is worst aspect of game. It is hard to read and it feels like some kinda 00 show, You have a dead uncle, who left a winary, but you never saw him, you have noisy neighboor-girl, who talks to much and very old MISTERY, which ends faster than starts. 1h 30 minutes you are trying to understand what to do and 25 minutes you are involved in some intrigue and 5 minutes are final titles. Maybe it is good game with all opened progress and I will give it a chance, but currently it is good looking time killer, what I want on smartphones for 5eur, but definitely not a PC game with 20 eur price.

Be aware of what you buy

As mentioned in other reviews, this is not a wine growing simulator and/or complex business simulation in that sense. In terms of gameplay, I would compare it most closely to the game Game Dev Tycoon. Basically, the goal is to produce the best wine possible, to increase the level of awareness, to achieve the highest possible profits and not to go bankrupt. There is no direct competition with other winemakers, and a market that regulates itself based on supply and demand. A market is more or less simulated by random events. I see the story mode more as a tutorial. After the rather short story you have only unlocked a small part of the technology tree. However, the story mode then flows smoothly into the endless mode, so that you can continue playing the game you started. In my opinion, the heart of the game is the challenge mode, in which you have to achieve certain goals with predefined starting conditions. Various actions in the game are triggered by playing cards. When played, these turn into Tetris-like blocks that have to be placed on a field. This limits the number of actions that can be performed simultaneously. However, this field can be increased over time by unlocks in the technology tree. Even though viticulture is probably more of a sneeze topic, I still find the game very addictive. Besides, you learn something about the production process of wine.

Interesting and easy game

Played of 7.75 hrs 52% achivement, tech cleared the main game. Repetitive after few tens of turn but simplifiered with employee, ONLY 1 NOTE, Make enough stocks before you open the sales tree otherwise you may break the money cycle, Don't worry if you can sold all stocks every year, and 3 kind of perfect wine enough to cycle the money to 1M easily. Check handbook color bar to make sure the quality. Just-okay experience. Worth the money.

Nice presentation, but little challenge

I'm afraid I was lured in by the nice marketing and pastel colours and the romance of the subject (I like wine!). I suppose I was expecting more of a winemaking simulator type of experience (it is in the name of the game after all!) but unfortunately the actual making of the wine is just abstracted as a tetronimo piece laying puzzle which gets old very quickly. The story is a bit goofy, which isn't a problem in itself, but I came to realise it's just a bit of flim flam overlying a fundamentally unsatisfying experience. In hindsight I wish I had downloaded the demo, and if you are considering buying the game I would encourage you to do so as well, but I would be surprised if you eventually decide it's worth the purchase price. A shame because I would love to play an actual winemaking simulator of some sort one day!
