Mstrpc not shaming HM1 despite criticism
Masterpiece game. The first was amazing. This one also is. I've read bad reviews. About complex stories with no soul, no charismatic characters, the rape scene, enemies that shot from too far, the psycho journalist. I understand them. Finaly I don't agree. Story is pessimistic as hell, the end is beautifull. The rape scene? 3 seconds at the beginning in a B movie... I would rather complain they are no strippers in the strip club. Seriously there is no sex in this game. It has been forbidden because of the last chapter, the greatest drug experience in a video game and in a story line, a must watch and play. Characters are great and share charisma alltogether. Story is about dying traumatic peoples that reach the end of their insanity. Very poetic and nihilistic storyline, as good as the first HM. The roster mask is the shadow of their mental and moral issue coping with violence nowhere. Gameplay. The same as 1st HM. With distance more often. Totaly manageable if you don't play headless. Problem remains controling your aiming arrow with the mouse for fast pace action. But it's manageable. Greater map deals with long shoot snipers sometime, you have to be careful sometime and use the shift key for far sight. Sometime foes run in mass on you. Just take a step backward like with the Rat who can use darkness and whose level can be frustrating at first. The journalist can be a good guy, not kill and just harm. He kills if you want. My only disapointment is war vet's story and the boat level. Challenging but lack of atmos. Ok means that rest of game is good challenge, gameplay and atmos. You also have in the basic edition a map editor. Pretty good. Game's worth the price. I just had wished strippers in the stripclub. Last chapter is hell beautifull mindblowing and tragic.
