so, tbh I had a few drinks now, *shrug* whatver, i'm still drinking, wanna write this quick and post, then play it some more hahaha... so, you're basically a dude who's going places from messages from your answering machine. you hop in the car, it loads a stage (in a cool and retro way), then you go from floor to floor at the places taking out whoever would take you out - nothing wrong with that!? I mean, maybe you walk in all peaceful-like, but some a**hole jumps you - but who cares, press R and immediately start again on the same floor!! aaaand other useful info... you collect masks, like to wear on your "missions", and each have a different "perk", such as more weapons, or spotting secrets, etc. go all stealthy with like knives and pipes and bats, nobody outside line of sight gets alerted. or grab a shottie or an AK (or whatever they are) and they all come running, which is cool too, messy pile collecting at the door hahaha... yeah. BLAM! take that, you f*n sprite! so, if you liked original GTA, this is like an indoors GTA. grab weapons. take out people who think you're an enemy - no moral dilemma, just hit R - those bastards started it, so take 'em out! oh, and you get to collect girls - at least one, I carried from this place, she had needle on the bed, she was passed out. then at start of later missions she was on my bed, hell yeah! I didn't see a needle by her bed in my place but, there was something on the floor, maybe a bucket to puke in *shrug* somethin'.. lol

pros: The neon-punk aesthetic Cathartic violence Intriguing if somewhat obscure plot cons: Animations: nothing to see here Ennemy AI is shameful. Shotgun someone's head 1m away from an ennemy, he won't budge, but open a door and a random ennemy from god knows where comes rushing while everyone else stands still. Dance in front of someone for 2s with no reaction, or get one-shot by an offscreen ennemy who had eyes behind his head. Controls: never really got used to how rigid the controls are, in conjunction with the very poor animation work. The target locking is beyond frustrating. It just does not work in a coherent manner. Somehow the pros make the game worthwhile, but not at full price. The game feels very unpolished, which gives it its charm but also make for a frustrating experience.

There is some really tight game-play here but even after going on the forums and getting the recommended updates the game still starts to lag after I play a couple levels. It gives it a slow mo effect which is kind of cool but takes away most of the challenge. Think Max Payne with unlimited bullet time.

The game's mechanics leads to tedious trial and error and memorization. The game doesn't lack style and a good soundtrack though.

I really like this game and that OST reminds me of the movie drive. just awesome
