Horizon Zero Dawn™ Complete Edition

Enjoyable just to sit down for a few minutes or few hours to play. Great storyline, and does pretty well at narrative no matter what order you discovery and do things in. Overall fun and enjoyable game.

This game is incredible. Fun and appropriately challenging gameplay. Enjoyable fight mechanics. Super well written story that actually had me trying to hunt and review all data points. Even the FW DLC tied into the main story line in a really intelligent & logical way. Overall highly polished and well worth the buy.

HZD is the perfect game to play with kids, it has a good story line with no blood and gore and hunting machines which look like dinosaurs is a never ending fun. There is a vast exapanse to free run and explore, perform several side quests

I first started playing this game long after many others had already given it a go, so the bar was set high going in. This usually means I’m in for some sort of letdown. Boy, was I wrong. HZD is spectacular. The story is a slow burn, but it keeps you reeled in. There are parts that tug on your heartstrings, and you can’t help but hope Aloy gets the answers she’s looking for. Even the Frozen Wilds DLC has a good story. This game also looks amazing without needing mods and tricks to do so. Granted, you need a decent hardware setup for it to run well and look pretty. I once tried installing and playing it on a low-specced laptop, and I’m not lying when I say a load screen took 15 minutes to finish. So be sure your PC has some chops if you’re going to play. Also, be sure to take some time to just explore. There is a varied and detailed world to visit.

Horizon Zero Dawn is exactly what I want in an open world RPG. It may not be to everyone's taste, but the completionist in me loves finding all the hidden bits of lore, seeing objectives on the map and clearing them one by one, and working through the story at my own pace. The only thing that would make it better is Sony and GOG getting together to release Forbidden West here. Because there is zero chance I'm buying it anywhere else.
