Excellent Metroidvania
I knew it would be fun but was pleasantly surprised that it was running smooth and polished too. I did not play much of the first game, but this game looks awesome on my rog ally. The lighting when you move around is excellent. Game is challenging but so far I'm making progress. I'm worried later may prove too challenging, but I've yet to get past dry docks yet.

My review of the game
The game is good, just like the first game, Bosses are better, movement is really nice but, some of the enemies are weird and are annoying to deal with, especially ones that can hit you for 2 masks of damage i would understand if BIG tough enemies were able to do that, but later on, LITTERALLY A tiny bug is able to hit you for 2 masks? it makes no sense and it's unnessessary diffiuclty and it's annoying especially highly mobile enemies, they should NOT be able to double hit you, its really annoying that is my only criticism of the game

Everything we could have hoped for
It's surreal to be back in the world of Hollow Knight. No longer in Dirtmouth, but Pharloom, we encounter a huge variety of well designed enemies, and... unforgiving bosses. It's an extremely challenging game, even for the pro Hollow Knight connesieurs. The wait was worth it, and I can't wait to play this over and over again.

Very fun so far.
For all new comers, you'll get the map in < 1h of gameplay. Avoid red spikes as these are optionals and harder content. Follow the flow of the game and every bosses you'll encounter will be easy for the first 10 hours. If you have a boss fight with a long run back, you missed a bench, or attempting optional hard gauntlets. Linux support is perfect. Playing on ubuntu 24.04 with xbox 360 controller, it runs perfectly on ryzen 4700u iGPU. No controller issues that other mentioned. if you fear for your red bells currency, head back to the village and transform them into items so you always have some for a new bench :)
