Lives up to expectations
With a game as anticipated as this, it's easy to drop the ball and make something that does not live up to expectations, but this game isn't an example of that. So far, I have been enjoying it a lot; even more than the original hollow knight. My only minor nitpick is that in 8 hours of gameplay, I feel like I've faced too many bosses that summon extras in their fight. And if that's the only complaint that I can formulate, then it means its a pretty damn good game.

A worthy successor to Hollow Knight
I've played for a few hours so far and GOG asked me to write a review. There are many common elements with Hollow Knight, but the game is fresh -- there is enough new and different in how Hornet moves and fights that gives it a subtly different feel to the original game. The world is a joy to travel across. I'm not sure about this game's replacement for charms; I will have to play more to see how I feel about how those are managed.
