Fantastic!

A Great Start
Not far into the game but the controls are up to the standards you'd expect from a Hollow Knight sequel. The world feels bigger, there's more characters, the platforming already offers small challenges to people willing to learn how to leverage the pogo. Not very far in, but it's already worth the price of admission.

Everything I wanted
Only midway through the game as this is a day 1 review. However, I'm finding it great so far. The animation is super smooth and they did a ton to expand the combat options. Hornet has way more mobility than the knight and this results in both better platforming and combat. Hornet also gets a lot more combat options early on in the form of tools and different stances. So far I'm using the default mostly as it has a very clever pogo implementation that launches you forward. It's a lot harder to use than HK's but once you get it you can do so much more. The game is generally harder as well which is a lovely treat. :D
