Good "mission pack" - broken framerate
Having played through "Contracts" after having finished "Silent Assassin", I really think that the aforementioned game is much better in many ways. The first 6 missions in "Contracts" are really good but later you just get remakes of levels that already have appeared in "Codename 47". The problem are not these missions themselves (they´re okay as they are) but the fact that don´t really fit in the game here since they mostly are much smaller and simpler (just think of the sniping mission which is over in a few minutes) than what you got before. It feels odd because they don´t really fit in after having played through bigger, more complex scenarios. So basically people who have played "Codename 47" just get about 6-7 new missions which is okay but not enough for a great Hitman game. Another issue is that there isn´t really a story here that ties these missions together and that you don´t have the opportunity to plan your missions before you start (which is nice because it creates immersion). So it´s still worth playing but definitely not the best Hitman game for me ("Blood Money" is my favourite). Problems with broken framerate and SOLUTION: I got problems with a somehow broken framerate with minor, but regular, slowdowns in this game. The game was still playable, alhough the physics often went "crazy" (for instance when dropping an item). But this completely changed when I reached mission 9 and 10 in which I got severe "freezes" so that I couldn´t move anymore. This first happened inside the "fish restaurant". First, I tried to restrict the framerate in Nvidia Settings to 60FPS, but it didn´t help at all. The solution is as effective as it is simple: Just add the the line "WINDOW 1" in your HitmanContracts.ini. After that the physics worked perfectly fine and all the slowdowns / freezes were gone.
