Hitman: Blood Money

Blood Money is near perfection and easily the most cherished in the Series. If there is one Hitman game you need to play, its this one hands down. Blood Money combined and refined the best parts of previous Hitman games. The gameplay is classic Hitman at its purest from before the series started getting more shooter like. The missions are great with no ill-fitting filler content like the jungles of Codename 47 or the Japanese snow level of Silent Assassin. Solutions to missions feel more open than the heavily scripted machinations of the rebooted Hitman games. If you are going to play one Hitman game, I recommend this one.

Blood Money is IMO the very best in the Hitman series. Not just that, it's one of the best games in general - ever! Of course, Absolution has better graphics, effects, cinematic sequences and polish - but gameplay- and story-wise THIS is it. The absolute apex of Hitman games. I love it how many options you have to complete the mission and how you can combine different approaches during the same mission - giving it really high replay value. Even a shoot'em'all is always an option - though your score and monetary reward will be abysmal in this case. OTOH, you can finish most missions without actually killing anyone (except the hit target - and even THAT you can mask as an accident). Of course getting the Silent Assassin rating in every single mission is pretty difficult, but achievable with careful planning. Getting this for $2.82 at the current sale rate is an absolute steal.

I knew this would come through at some point on GOG, but hey I just love how to coordinate my own assassinations in this game and whatever I do, doesn't even matter, overall, great Hitman game is what I would give it.
