Hitman: Absolution

Great visuals and storytelling - though the cookie-cutter villains all seem identical (evil Texan types). A bit of variety would've made it feel more interesting. Mechnically though it is a bit frustrating with extremely slow, clunky movement and very limited gameplay options. Doesn't come close to the newer Hitman titles in terms of variety. And the lack of a save game is a rage-quitting feature that makes you want to pull your hair out. Playing for hours and having to restart because of some random head turn in order to get that achievement is a real downer. But even with all this, it is still a worthwhile game if you can find it at a discount.

I'm only a few missions in, but so far I'd say this one can hang with Blood Money for gameplay enjoyment and the graphics are extremely good (at least, from a good ole gamer's perspective who remembers the very first Hitman title and played the pre-release). I'd give it five stars except that I always struggle with the Hitman controls -- even remapping doesn't help me that much. But if you don't have that problem, then this is probably a five start game for you.

Before Hitman was turned into an always-online "service" instead of a proper game, it was fun. Absolution is the best example what they could have done with a decent business model, but they didn't. The hide in crowd mechanics, the way you can stash bodies, it is Hitman prime. If you thinking about buying the presently sold always online version, get this instead and enjoy the game even years later. The missions in this won't be gone, because they are not like "limited time offers"

Some bugs or glitches allow for speed runner but IDK how to do faster heheh.
