There was an attempt....

So I installed this game and my first launch attempt didn't work. It got stuck in a black screen with a white square. So I launched it again and without GOG Galaxy, this time it launched and I started the mission on Normal Difficulty. Was asked to infiltrate a mansion. I tried to explore my surroundings and inmediately got blocked by invisible walls. The ugly kind, that means a bushes were actually the map borders. I continued and upon the fence I noticed cameras, tried to evade them but I think they were just decoractions. I fund the first guard and the game explained I can use objects to distract guards. I threw a wrench in the opposite direction the guards was looking but he ignored the noise. I took a brick and then attempted to land it on the head of the guard BUT the brick flew in front of him. The guard remained static 0 reaction. Waiting for me to kill him. for the next guard the game wanted me to shoot but it said I was sqeezing the trigger to hard. So then I decided to sneak on that guard and do the takedown instead. The game crashed.... I have played other stealth games: Metal Gear Solid, Splinter Cell so maybe I'm spoiled. But I think this is just an attempt to be an stealth game. Is not worth your time or Disk Space.

"Consoleish"

Just played a little at the start but felt this isn't for me! Feels very on-rails, very consoleish, very much handholding. For ex you take cover by pressing a button, and by pressing another button you automatically roll from cover to cover to cover... Nah, not for me, but probably suits others better...should have watched more videos of it before I bought it.

UNDERrated

All the hangups people have with this game are purely based on emotion and not logic. Apart from being more overtly story driven than the prequels and some eyebrow-raising moments (47 angstily cutting his tattoo with a razor), there is nothing that makes Absolution not a "real Hitman game". Remember that the previous installments had forced action sequences too.

Game misses the mark (poor mechanics)

PROS + Good graphics considering it was released 8 years ago (in 2012) + Decent storyline + You can use whatever improvised weapon onsite + You have your iconic double guns + You can hide bodies and steal uniforms CONS - Linear story (why???) - Gameplay similar to Shadow of War would have been perfect for this game (instead, they opted for a lame linear mode) - They could have done something similar to Watchdogs with an open world (but they opted not to) - Somehow, enemies find bodies within 15 second (makes a whole lotta sense) - Limited amount of types of weapons (you're a hitman for crying out loud) - For some reason, you have accolades - Accolades are based on finding items and stuff (which makes no sense, as I am trying to escape half the time! No time to go treasure hunting!) - If you attack ANYONE, you get negative marks (even enemies???) - These marks are needed for you to unlock skills (I am not even sure if all of them are automated) - Basically, they tried incorporating an RPG element, which makes no sense in this game (as a veteran hitman, can you really get better? Seriously? *shakes my head*)
