Amber couldn't care less. Wandering the desert in a recently-inherited motorhome, she mourns the loss of her grandfather - indifferent and unaware of the hunt happening around her. It's not until she meets Marina, a young hitchhiker lost in New Mexico that the girls get swept up in the rush.
At least tens of words, maybe even hundreds. Although the last word count puts it around 90,000, so expect 6 or so hours of reading.
Grand, hand-painted vistas of actual landmarks in the western United States, all in glorious 1080p detail.
A huge soundtrack featuring the works of Smoke Thief, Jake Abernathie, Able Kirby, and other friends of AlienWorks. Sounds right at home on your in-dash cassette tape player.
Accessibility options for days, including the ability to skip through everything in less than five minutes. But who would wanna do that?
Alternate silly content for second readthroughs that AlienWorks let the programmer write. This may or may not have been a good idea.

As my first visual novel - I can honestly say that I really enjoyed this. The story is a tad cliche, but the writing is solid and the character development is pretty good as well!
This is a visual novel in the truest sense of the words, there aren't any player decisions or anything like that, just a narrative to cruise along with and enjoy. I ended up getting a solid 6 hours out of it, took me about a week to finish - playing a little every night.
The music is really well composed and the art is fantastic - overall I'd say that it is well worth the price. As an introduction to the genre, this has set the bar fairly high! Will definitely be keeping an eye out for more from the AlienWorks!
A stereotypical dimwitted, fun loving ,klutz meets a mature straight man (she is a lesbian).
Is it a masterpiece? No. Is it damn good? I really enjoyed it. I bought it when it was only available on nutaku and felt it was worth buying on here just because. Granted, there I did not have to worry about any censorship.
I really enjoyed the story. Though it was a rather short story it felt like the right amount. I am looking forward to the DLC now. I felt like good story writing is pretty is pretty rare nowadays, but this was a fun and interesting story.
The most unique thing about this one is that its done in english voice. The voice work of the whole cast is great with the exception that the main char sounded a lil stilted for a bit of the first part of the VN but she gets better or you get used to it idk which.
More concrete info.. This yuri(girl/girl) VN is kinetic meaning no choices; I estimate 4-7 hours play time. Has an adult patch with 2 added scenes. These scenes didn't break the mood or feel forced and I would suggest including them for slightly deeper characterization unless opposed or underage. The VN comes with a goofball mode with alternate dialog after you finish it once but I have no experience with it.
The story is basically if a less sarcastic daria (mtv) went on a desert treasure hunt with a happy ditzy bubblegum teen that results in romance. The bubblegum teen might sound annoying but turned out to be adorable like a puppy and had great voice work. The supporting characters were mostly a delight and also had good voice work
Before you do anything, I think it's worth noting Studio Élan (or perhaps Denpasoft?) has an adult patch for this game for free as in beer that you can apply to the binary GoG supplies pretty easily. You can find it on their site, though I won't link to it since I don't want this post marked as spam. You can find it with a web search, though. The game itself isn't pornographic, and I haven't yet played it with the patch myself, nor in "goofy mode".
Regardless, think this vn, as an imitation of its Japanese counterparts, isn't as sublime a porcelain as, say, Katawa Shoujou (which is released under creative commons, by the way, so just go ahead an download it), but it's adequate. What bothers me in part is that the authors' fine imitation betrays any prospect for the game's own concerted identity: it's hard to mistake something like astounding economy of fucher's(?) illustrations Unteralterbach (which is also creative commons and thus free), or, again, the sheer affection for Japanese vn's which Katawa Shoujou exudes.
That isn't to say the authors lack skill, but for their Japanese stylistic choices, they have a very American tendency to get distracted from the core theme. The narrative in itself is coherent, and to a vn junkie, good, albeit clichéd. Not that I care, but I wouldn't call it yuri. The protag could easily have been male.
It's not a profound statement like that Katawa Shoujou, or written with the erudition of something like Snow Dazed (whose VA performances are far more consummate and adroit, especially for a h-game), but it's as fun as throwaway novels you buy at an airport, which is also how much it costs when you consider the fact it's on sale, so I can't be so bitter its amateur leanings, even though I did play the game with the VAs on mute, and I appreciate the modesty in not artificially lengthening the game's duration with quasi-branching narratives. Yes, this game has no choices, and I think, after you play it, you'll agree that's fine.
