Hextech Mayhem: A League of Legends Story™

I wasn't sure what to think of this game based on the ratings, but I decided to pick it up during a sale and was pleasantly surprised by how fun it was to play! I thought that the framerate and controls worked well enough, but there were a few times that I thought it was a bit unfair. This problem wasn't enough to take away from my overall enjoyment of the game, but I figured it was worth mentioning. I also thought that the name of the game was a bit disappointing. I think this game could have found a much larger audience if it wasn't connected with The League of Legends franchise. I honestly couldn't care less about The League of Legends, and the association with that game almost stopped me off from buying it in the first place.

ALWAYS READ THE REVIEWS!!! I was seconds away from purchasing this, and only going off the screenshots (which is just about the worst way to make a decision) when I saw A. The controls are terrible, and unmappable?! Really, at a time where it’s just common knowledge that everyone has a different preference? Maybe it’s time someone create a program where no matter what the game allows, you are able to override it and customize it your way. B. I didn’t even realize that this was one of those Rhythm games… I would’ve been one unhappy camper if I bought it without reading that. I hate Rhythm games almost as much as I hate myself (and that’s quite a bit I’ll have you know!) I had to give it at least 3 stars being that 1. I didn’t purchase it, and 2. I wouldn’t have liked it even if it was the best rhythm game in the world. Hopefully that’s fair.
