Childhood Memories
I know HoMM4 is often viewed as the so called "red-headed step-child", but it's my favourate and so much fun!

Bought it out of nostalgia.
Bought it out of nostalgia. The game aged poorly. I’ve never played the campaigns—only single RPG scenarios, mostly local multiplayer. And wow, the gameplay is boring. Combat feels clunky and awkward, castle siege isn’t engaging, and town management with daily creature growth is a chore. Enemy movement is hard to track due to the fog of war, so you’re forced to send scouts everywhere. Auto-combat is dumb, and there’s no replay. I knew HOMM4 wasn’t great, but I remembered it as decent enough. I was wrong—and I wish I hadn’t bought it.
