Heroes of Might and Magic® 3: Complete

I'm not sure if the age of this game will turn off younger gamers, but it doesn't have a lot of flashy animations that slow it down and the music is top notch. There are still websites with literally thousands of player-made maps available for download but you probably won't need them for the first ten years or so. There's just so much content here: a relaxing turn-based city builder, make your towns and armies and conquer the map. It's not terribly complicated, but the resources are mostly randomly generated and the map editor allows you to make any changes you think might improve your favorite maps. I've been playing this game for almost 30 years and it never gets stale.

Whimsical, turn-based strategy with hours of replay value.

Great game from ages past. It's not pretty compared to newer versions in the series, but the campaigns are great and tell interesting stories.
