The best of all...
I haven't play any other game that could absorb me like Heroes 3. I am playing it over 10 years and still can't stop. It's just amazing. I would give it rating10/5 if I only could. If you are reading this and don't own your copy - buy it!

Just wanted to add one more 5-star review to the pile. This is the best of the entire HoMM series, and one of the best PC games ever. If the words "strategy", "fantasy", or "RPG" tickle your ears, stop reading the reviews and buy this now.

The Best Turn Based Strategy Game EVA!
The greatest turn based strategy computer game ever created. I wish Ubisoft would stop trying to put their own spin on the game play and just create HOMM III with updated graphics and castles. I've purchased every single version of this game and have been extremely disappointed with every version since 3.

Simply amazing...with a caveat.
I love this game, but I am horrible at it. HoMM3 is a timeless classic expanding on its predecessors and practically every strategy game at the time. It's graphics hold up wonderfully and I have yet to find a game with a soundtrack as fitting and epic as HoMM3's. This is a strategy game at its finest, but I offer a fair warning: Unless you can deal with base building and resource management, the pretty graphics won't save you from having a tough time.
