Should be great game.....
it is a combination of city development and tactical if simply combat. But in every game I have played I run into a frustrating AI boost....kill an opposing hero lead army and a turn later that hero will return with vastly larger new army, usually strong to win the next battle. This occurs on all difficulties, all the way down to 'pawn' level. It is an AI cheat meant to supplant a poorly coded AI and it removes all real strategy from the game; what's the point of defeating an enemy army when it will just appear a turn later much stronger. I found the only way to advance in the game was to avoid combat with opposing armies and just focus on raiding their resources. For me, this is really boring.

Yes, a real 3.
So the "great classic", I've played it for quite some time, so I'll write my opinion here. (This review will contain criticism, so if you don't like it, you don't have to read it) The positives: A brilliant fantasy world, great stories, the factions are well thought out, the whole world has a system, history, interesting things and of course Sandro the great. The gameplay is understandable, certain situations really require strategies, the different bonuses of the characters make the fights especially interesting and exciting, and it all has a great atmosphere and charm. I really liked certain campaigns, especially Kilgor's campaign, Gelu's campaign, Mutare's campaign and Xeron's campaign and Yog' campaign. The negatives: The ai and gameplay are often too unforgiving and difficult. It's not an excuse that I'm lame or that if I don't like it, I'll play on a harder level. No, the game gives respect to the player, that it doesn't put on a continuous show, that it always plays meanly and in many cases you have to sweat blood even from your bones to achieve success. There are some very cheat suspicious things in it. The opponent can often move more than me at the same terrerain without artifacts, even without the difficulty level and script, he/she brings armies out of nowhere, he/she reads my thoughts. What was finally the final straw was that the game kept crying and explaining that this and that land is not suitable for this magic, you can't use this and that here, it's an anti-magical area, you can't do this and that. I'm sorry, but I didn't develop the character, learn op spells, prepare the battle and pay the electricity bill for a game to be so limited while the opponent can do almost anything. The "build an impregnable castle out of nothing or gravel" philosophy contains too many exaggerations here and suppressed the atmosphere of the game. Among the campaigns that never more: New Beginning, Armageddon's Blade, Song for the Father So yeah, typical 3.
