When Erathia's King Gryphonheart is murdered by traitors he is resurrected as an undead warlord who leads a ruthless invasion of his former Kingdom. Little resistance is met until his daughter Catherine, Queen of Enroth, returns to her homeland commanding an army of elite Enrothian warriors. Meanwhile the Necromancers raise large hordes of undead and advance towards the Erathian capitol. My favorite game of all time
Way ahead of its time, I've had this game installed on every pc I have ever owned. Heroes of Might and Magic 3 is one of the internets best kept secrets. It has features upon features, including a custom map maker and random map generator, a treasure hunt on many maps for the literal holy grail, a faction specific skill, a moral and luck system, I could go on but I'd be here all day. The story campaigns tell amazing tales tied together by the continent they take place on and can offer an insane level of challenge on higher difficulties. If I could only play one game for the rest of my life it would be this game. Buy it here on GOG cause the Steam verion has none of the dlc even purchasble and a graphical downgrade in my opinion. Also look into the community mods, the hd mod helps to run it better, has online play and if your playing the game for a while theres really no reason not to install it.
