When Erathia's King Gryphonheart is murdered by traitors he is resurrected as an undead warlord who leads a ruthless invasion of his former Kingdom. Meanwhile the Necromancers raise large hordes of undead and advance towards the Erathian capitol. Queen Catherine receives the aid of her father's survived generals and embarks on a crusade to reclaim her lost land.

Loooong time HoMM player
I got into Heroes 2 and played thru 5. Heroes 3 was probably the very best in the series. They did a fantastic job with the rpg-ish parts and the units and castle upgrades are very well done. I'm a TBS guy and it's difficult to find good TBS games like this 1 in 2014. Great game. Shout out to anyone else who remembers the Astral Wizard's site of custom maps!

Might and Awesomeness
This was actually one of the first Might and Magic games I got exposed too no other one has been able to duplicate its awesomeness I recommend this game for anyone that loves Strategy games and did I mention the soundtrack is outstanding!!!! :D

The best strategic game ever
HoMM3 is the first strategic game I ever played, which was a bit funny, since I learnt to play it along with my dad. I'd fallen in love with it at first sight and have played it ever since. I've had a craving for the game again for the past few weeks, so what a joy it was when I saw that it's available on GOG. Cheers you guys, great job!

HOMM3 Ruled
I have always thoroughly enjoyed the HOMM3 series. The army building, conquering, hero leveling architecture of the game design is simple but satisfying. The diversity of the different factions made each campaign a new challenge. Still I remember the undead and vampire one the most, something about being able to resurrect the dead into your army was deeply satisfying. I am buying the package to run it on Win7 again. Great game.
