When Erathia's King Gryphonheart is murdered by traitors he is resurrected as an undead warlord who leads a ruthless invasion of his former Kingdom. Meanwhile the Necromancers raise large hordes of undead and advance towards the Erathian capitol. Uncomprehensible addiction
When I was watching a friend playing this game I couldn't understand what he could love in that boring game. But when I put an hand on it, I couldn't stop playing. It's just unbelievable how this game is addictive. Damn, it's already 3... ok one last turn...

A god among mere mortals
The HoMM series reached its peak with HoMM3, in my eyes. I played both HoMM1 and HoMM2, which steadily developed the concept into the many-faceted gem that is HoMM3. The gameplay is, like all great games, easy to learn yet hard to master. With the addition of skills, magic specializations, tons of new spells and artifacts as well as hero specialities, this game took the whole genre to a new level which is unmatched even today. It is a remnant of the great times of PC-gaming where almost every new game would hold something that was actually new and revolutionary, beyond flashy graphics (Which btw this game has, for the time). This is a must buy game for anyone who enjoy strategy and fantasy. With near infinite replayability and a wonderful but time-consuming multiplayer mode, it's a real catch even when not on sale. If you haven't played HoMM3, what are you waiting for?

Reason, to buy a pc.
This game, is "IT" is something that u will never forget. It something that u want to play with ur sons. Best strategy game ever. Well designed, well story, everything. I joined GOG because of this game, also bought it for sale, 2.50 instead of 10, thx for that. This game can be described, played in a lot of different ways. This game is not only fun to play, it's fun to watch someone play it... P.S. sry for my English, glhf
