When Erathia's King Gryphonheart is murdered by traitors he is resurrected as an undead warlord who leads a ruthless invasion of his former Kingdom. Little resistance is met until his daughter Catherine, Queen of Enroth, returns to her homeland commanding an army of elite Enrothian warriors. Meanwhile the Necromancers raise large hordes of undead and advance towards the Erathian capitol. Queen Catherine receives the aid of her father's survived generals and embarks on a crusade to reclaim her lost land.

Magical & Mighty!
Absolutely fantastic atmosphere and gameplay - time flies by in gigantic chunks while you meticulously prepare for next turn - over and over till 6 in the morning ;P Gorgeous 2D graphics hold to this day - creatures, towns and maps are zip-full of personality. Among the best games ever made.

Best turn based fantasy ever made
Really, if you are reading these reviews and like turn based combat, interesting dialog and one of the most balanced between making your hero super strong and at the same time having a huge army the game takes you to the next level of strategy. If you have ever played a total war game, I believe this is the turned based fantasy version and a must have to any gog users collection.
