Even if the combat or traveling is not the best, its a very cute game you can enjoy with yout partner

as a black girl this ruined the game and i will be refunding, also my white boyfriend couldnt play as a white guy. what kind of racist does the developer have to be to include same sex couples but force interracial coupling with out options. racists developers dont deserve money

Haven has lite RPG elements, including a lite battle system and lite crafting system, and a PHENOMENAL EDM/IDM-styled soundtrack (that you'll want to listen to while on the highway out in the wide-open countryside), but the star of the show is the plot, setting, and the relationship that the two characters (Yu and Kay) share. What you'll be doing most of the time is: (1) Gliding across the land (and sometimes in the sky) in your anti-gravity boots, (2) Harvesting food items, (3) Looking for replacement parts for your lost ship, (4) Fighting off wildlife, (5) Cooking and crafting items, and (6) Watching dialogue scenes between Yu and Kay. The banter (and sometimes bickering) between Yu and Kay is fully voiced-over, and written and acted so well, that I always let the characters speak out their lines rather than skipping them; their dialogue is often endearing, humorous and believable, even if it smacks of Millennial/Gen Z vernacular; they chose really good voice actors with really good voices. Some of your controls, namely when you're cooking/crafting or in battle, are split between the two characters; the D-Pad and Left Analog Stick control Kay's actions, and the Right Analog Stick and 4 buttons on the right hand side control Yu's actions; you can choose between which you like using better: Either the Analog Sticks, or the buttons...which, I prefer the buttons, since they're more responsive. In both crafting and fighting, you have to press and hold the button for your desired command to "charge" it before you can execute it. The "lite" crafting system, all you have to do is combine 2 items; no additional modifiers or multipliers, no QTEs or Mini-Games to craft items, just combine 2, and BAM! YOU'RE DONE! So you won't end up spending hours-on-end just trying to craft items! The battle system is "lite," because you only have about 4 commands: A Melee Attack, a Ranged Attack, a Shield, and Pacify, for ending the battle. I loved EVERYTHING about this game!

Cute couple, cute interactions, simple but engaging gameplay. I have one of my best memories with this game. It does not seem great on screenshots and gameplays but spending time on it is much better than on annoying platformers or boring logical games.

Played this on xbox game pass, but might pickup here on gog too. This game is great for casual players & even better with your significant other for some fun couch co-op! The 2 characters have quite a few genuinely cute & funny moments balancing out some more heavy 'real' moments. Dialogue is well written, with I'd say only 10% being a little corny/groan worthy. Soundtrack is great, with a very zen art style that lends itself perfectly to the gameplay. Didn't encounter any serious bugs. my only complaint is I wish there was a bit more depth in the rpg mechanics & a hard mode. It's not supposed to be a challenging game, focusing instead on the relationship of the 2 protagonists. I still wanted a bit more of a challenge. Overall, this game is 4/5 for sure with everything I was really looking for when I saw the trailer way back when. This game is for you if you want a chill gameplay that's really about following the characters journey with a partner to play with. local co-op games are few & far between these days, so I aplaud the devs for making one that works so well & is gorgeous to bloot! (not a typo, play the game & you'll see, bloot! lol)
