A fair and fun progression system turns the effort of building a competitive collection of cards into pure pleasure — simply collect new cards to build decks with as you play GWENT; no strings attached.

STUNNING, ALL ACROSS THE BOARD

Beautiful, hand-drawn art and mesmerizing visual effects breathe life into every card, battle and battlefield, making GWENT fun to play and every duel a joy to watch.

SKILL BEATS LUCK

Crush the enemy with brute strength or outsmart them with clever tricks — no matter your deck, GWENT’s unique round-based gameplay opens up a world of strategic possibilities to play with when fighting for victory.

MORE THAN ONE WAY TO PLAY

Whether it’s a quick online game against a friend, a highly competitive PvP challenge, or something new and wildly adventurous like the Arena, GWENT’s selection of game modes has got you covered.

EASILY SATISFYING, ANYTHING BUT EASY

Sling cards from your deck across two tactically distinct rows — melee and ranged. Gather more points in the duel against your opponent to win a round. Win two out of three rounds to win the battle. It won’t be easy, but no one said it should be.

NO HOLDING BACK, NO HOLDING HANDS

You start with 10 cards from your deck in hand, able to play each card right from the start. It’s up to you to open the game with your strongest unit, or save the best for later in the fight. How will your deck look and what will your strategy be?

The game requires an online connection to play and offers optional in-game purchases.

Why change everything at the last second

I've played this game from the closed beta. They had always changed up card effects to balance the game better and make duels funner. But what even is this release? We played for months giving feedback and then for the final release they throw everything up into the air and change it. Completely destorying any balancing or knowledge that you had from the preveious version. I can't even tell when you're allowed to redraw at the start of rounds anymore. The game looks better but this is nothing like the gwent in witcher 3 and it's nothing like the game it was just a few days ago. Maybe this update is better than I think but right now I think its only going to be more confusing and less balanced. Which is the reason for beta so that when its put out the game is refined and balanced not to change everything at the last second and restart from square one. Also loot crates in this game are dreadful I'm 90+ hours in and I still haven't unlocked 90% of all gold cards and 50% of the silvers, and even missing some bronzes still. The saddest part is I like animated cards but then I would be buying metor powder rather than stuff that actully affects gameplay, so I end up buying neither. Call me crazy but I would've payed 10-20 dollars to get this game built like an actual game rather than a grindfest.

It's sad but I don't enjoy it anymore.

I've tried the new update. After waiting a very looong time for the full release (I've been around since the closed beta) After roughly 120h of gwent, I sadly came to the conclusion that the game changed too much to my taste. It might be good for new players or people that actually like it as it is but it doesn't feel like it improved over time. I won't explain thouroughly my point of view (that some won't share), I liked the game, I was so happy for the 1.0 update then my dreams got crushed. The main points are the rebalance that I mostly don't agree with. The skill tree that adds nothing if like me you had 100 000 scraps to begin with and crafted every standard card the fist day. The game feels a lot slower too and artifacts are quite annoying. (charges are a good idea nontheless) I would add that the addition of 3D on the board prevented me from playing the game on my laptop (it's an old piece of crap) and the game is too laggy. The old interface was alright ! The menuing is tedeous to say the least. I wanted to LOVE that game and I did, I even stopped playing it to wait religiously before the release. I should've palyed it retrospectively, while the game I loved was still there.

Not the same game

In beta it was the best card game I've played and now it's nothing like it. The depth and satisfaction are gone. The changes are too many to list with very little for the better. A shame that this is the version they come out of beta with, because new players wont want to stick around. This was the only game I've spent hundreds of hours on in the last few years, so it is very heartbreaking to see it gone.
