What A Card Game!
This game is so amazing! From the presentation, to the progression, to the challenges, to the rewards....I cannot find the words to describe it! All I can say is, just play it to find out!

Homecoming
Homecoming provided some much needed changes, and even though some of them may appear strange to older players it's a great base for what the future updates might bring. Say goodbye to the stale GS meta, the games now require more methodical approach instead of simply executing the same strategy with your deck every match. At the time of writing the review there are a few obnoxious elements to the game (artifacts are not balanced currently), but despite that I fully recommend Gwent, and will continue to have fun with it myself.

Loved the game until.....
....Homeoming. Came from hearthstone and fell in love with gwent. They way to outplay your opponents and the way the classes felt where incredible. HC changed everything for me. I really tried to love it again but there was just no way for me. All the Gameplay chances make this game for me worse than hearthstone, all the things that made Gwent superior are gone. Its just a basic card game, classes and cards feel generic and boring, the gameplay is super slow and games take foreever. They are very generous with the free2play experience, which is nice unless you play alot before HC and now have a complete Premium collection and nothing to grind for anymore. Hard to say as a fan but there are better cardgames out there and i moved on.

Gwent is no longer fun
Gwent was a card game that was different than other card games. Because of that, it was the only one I played. I played a lot of it in beta, and it was a great game. It was fun, it was unique, it was strategic and balanced (enough). Now, they did the same thing many game developers do everytime they have a good game in their hands. They made it no longer fun, so that it would be "balanced" for competitive play. Don't get me wrong, a balanced game is good, but an example of balancing a game in the right way is Counter Strike. Not once there was an update in CS that made it not fun for me anymore. After Homecoming, now all cards feel like they follow "models". "Deal X damage to X enemies" is an example. Everything they do is replace the X's and boom, there's a new card. The only though there is if the card is balanced for competitive, there is no thought about if the card is fun or not. I can't play this game anymore for more than one hour without getting tired. CDPR, please, listen to the community, and try to make the game better. Focus a bit mroe on the fun side of the game, and stop focusing so much in the competitive aspect. Thank you.
