FREE TO PLAY THAT’S WORTH YOUR TIME
A fair and fun progression system turns the effort of building a competitive collection of cards into pure pleasure — simply collect new cards to build decks with as you play GWENT; no strings attached.
STUNNING, ALL ACROSS THE BOARD
Beautiful, hand-drawn art and mesmerizing visual effects breathe life into every card, battle and battlefield, making GWENT fun to play and every duel a joy to watch.
SKILL BEATS LUCK
Crush the enemy with brute strength or outsmart them with clever tricks — no matter your deck, GWENT’s unique round-based gameplay opens up a world of strategic possibilities to play with when fighting for victory.
MORE THAN ONE WAY TO PLAY
Whether it’s a quick online game against a friend, a highly competitive PvP challenge, or something new and wildly adventurous like the Arena, GWENT’s selection of game modes has got you covered.
EASILY SATISFYING, ANYTHING BUT EASY
Sling cards from your deck across two tactically distinct rows — melee and ranged. Gather more points in the duel against your opponent to win a round. Win two out of three rounds to win the battle. It won’t be easy, but no one said it should be.
NO HOLDING BACK, NO HOLDING HANDS
You start with 10 cards from your deck in hand, able to play each card right from the start. It’s up to you to open the game with your strongest unit, or save the best for later in the fight. How will your deck look and what will your strategy be?
The game requires an online connection to play and offers optional in-game purchases.
No matter what other people might say, Gwent is a great game which is getting even better step by step. Monthly updates and card expansions every three months are indicators that developers really care and listen what their playerbase really want.
Excellent, I like it. Almost like how Gwent is in Wicther 3, removing the middle row I believe is the major change, and the art of the card is animated which is really cool. I don't know what people are talking about comparing it to other card games out there as a bad thing (I haven't played any of them, neither do I care), but this is purely the card game from W3, stand-alone, some tweaks to the gameplay but no less sweet to play, and still with awesome Witcher music, not to mention nice graphics to go along with your card-playing. I haven't played any beta of it or anything before this current version, but I don't really care, I expected Gwent and I got Gwent. I don't know if I will play it vs other players, maybe try it sometime, I wouldn't know if people find something troublesome about it, but I'll mainly play it solo so I don't really care, I just like Gwent, it's fun to play now and then when you want to kill time, and get a bit of a dose of the Witcher lore again.
I recommend you check it out if you're a big fan of the Witcher universe, or a fan of Gwent in The Wicther 3 Wild Hunt, always nice to get something more from CDPR.
#1: Unlike of CCGs that are out to rob u (mostly imo) Gwent is not trying to take over ur life in order for you to have top decks and stay in the loop/ meta. Its very fair and rewarding and you can take a break so u dont get burned out without getting rekt on return.
#2: This beautiful game is on mobile (thank god) so you can knock out games on the go w/o playing some dumb down wuna be MTG ugly cartoon stuff.
#3: It's fun balance changes pretty much very month & its way different from MTG give it a shot.
At first I was disappointed because it wasn't the game I played in The Witcher 3, but after some games I realized why it's a different game and since then I felt that this game is even better than the original. Now is my second favorite card game just behind Magic: The Gathering. And it's the easiest to learn so it can be good both for experienced players or new players.
