While there are some faults that could use addressing (particularly with the lack of online play), Guns, Gore and Cannoli is an inspired ride, a top-notch mixture of 40's nostalgia and zombie-killing fun. If you're smart, you'll bring some buddies along to dish out the carnage alongside you, if only to see what true mayhem looks like. In a good way, of course.

Guns, Gore & Cannoli is a fun way to spend a few hours, especially if you have two or three friends over. It won't set the world on fire and isn't without its faults, but it knows what it is and doesn't try to do too much.

Considering Guns, Gore & Cannoli costs £6.99, it packs quite a punch for the price. There's a lot of fun to be had in the time the game lasts, and it looks great to boot. The exaggerated voice acting fits perfectly with the tone of the title and the story is surprisingly entertaining too. There's never a dull moment in Guns, Gore & Cannoli, and it ends just at the right time too. Vinnie may not be the most likeable protagonist in a game but he knows how to get the job done.

Guns and gangsters. Love it.
I really like this game. The developers put a lot of care into it and it shows. The art style; voice acting; and combat are really well done. And the 1920's is one of my favorite time periods..so a plus there too. A real good side scrolling shooter. I'm looking forward to GG&C 2.

Fun but lacking
It's a fun game, love the theme and the artwork, the sound quality is ok, I haven't tried it on my surround system so I don't know if anything creative was done with the surround channels or if it's even supported. The gameplay is solid but at times feels a bit cheap and lacking in depth wich ends up felling repetitive wich is also true for the character voice, the number of lines are very limited and by the time you're half way through the game it gets quite repetitive.

About a 2.5 out of 5
Here's my damning by fine praise: this plays like a top tier Newgrounds flash game. Not only does it look like, sound like, and have concept of something you'd find on Newgrounds, it plays kind of janky. The main issue I have being that there's no invincibility frames when you get hit. Meaning you could very easily lose most or all of your health very quickly. Also, the few boss fights are all pretty bad. So, definitely not great, but I have played worse games.
