At First I Really Liked this Game, Then
At first I really liked this game, my favorite kind of game are the RPG's. I greatly enjoy RPG's that tell a good story and up to a point this one was great, another new game I really liked is The Outer Worlds. I am an older gamer who began playing computer games probably before many of you were even born. I started out on my first computer, a Commodore Amiga 1000 back in 1986. As you can guess I am now retired and I am in my mid 60's. There is one thing that I absolutely cannot STAND AND THAT ARE ANY DAMN GAMES THAT PUT BOSS BATTLES IN THEIR GAMES ESPECIALLY RPG'S. Had I known this game had these fucking boss battles I would never have purchased the game. As far as I am concerned boss battles that you cannot opt out of only do one thing and that is to detract from the story of what could have been a great RPG! I admit that my reflexes are not as good as someone who is far younger and who thoroughly enjoys the challenge of a boss battle however for me even on the easiest setting it is nothing but an exercise in frustration and futility that has turned into anger at the damn devs for even putting them into this game. Even after at least a dozen attempts I have not been able to get past the first one when you were going to board the ship to go to the island. So for me this game is just taking up space in my games library and is one that I will not be able to play. I personally rate this game as a negative 10 and in contrast The Outer Worlds is a solid 10. I do not care if devs put boss battles in their games as long as they also put a setting for those like myself to opt out of having to do the damn things in order to progress in the game.
