Gothic 3, best B game ever. Gothic 3 needs work, and while you'll want to have the Community Patch installed with your game, you'll also need to tweak the ini to get the best looking result. After a bit of internet searching you'll find everything you need and the game will look great. Now you've got a steep learning curve -not as steep as Egosoft's X series, but you'll be forced to learn the quirks at a running pace right from the starting line. It's still a lot of fun, right clicks for swift attacks, left clicks for normal attacks, hold left click for a fierce, hold right click then left click for a stab that'll leave you open to a severe counter if it doesn't land... and those are just the basics. When you right click, it'll change your character's body position making a fierce attack a little riskier since you're on your off foot, forcing your character to shift his weight before having the ability to fierce slash. You can equip a torch in your off hand and use this in combat like a free fire spell. Pay attention to every bit of dialog or you'll have no idea where to go next. Yes, the english localization leaves a lot to be desired, but the important clues for where to be next are in there. Mobs will taunt you twice, then attack. Use this to your advantage to trim roaming packs. Pick up everything, sell very little. Extra weapons, shields, etc. can be sold, but nearly everything has a use and you have unlimited inventory... so stockpile away. Explore the area you're in to the fullest before you leave it, pick all the herbs, go in all the caves, kill all the mobs, etc. Sure, you'll have to run away from a few places, but it's worth getting all the exp you can before leaving and learning about the places you can come back to later. 4/5 Pros: Massive map. Overpowered magic. Hookas. Cons: Learning curve. Combat grunt sounds. Mud hasn't made an appearance yet.

For me personally the best game ever. I can remember when played for the first time in 2007 despite lots of problems. The story and writings not as that good as ELEX(2017), but i like the freedom and rpg mechanics gothic 3 offers, still lots of fun.

please remove this popup every time i close a game. the game itself is alright
