Classic RPG
One of the greatest RPG's of all time. It's rock hard, especially the first 10 hours or do but stick with it - the rewards are great! This game has everything. It should be scoring over 90% on Metacritic. Buy it now - it is the bargain of the century. Gothic 1 is also supern as well. Buy them both!!

Great game with a slightly odd interface
What is there to say? The graphics are dated but still nice. The story is good even though it is not terribly original. It has a primarily keyboard interface that is a bit different, but is pretty effective once you get used to it (and great for people who end up playing from a laptop actually in their lap). The game isn't completely linear, allowing for some choices that impact gameplay. The enemies are not hit point blocks: the tactics you use will differ with the type of enemy and your choice of weapons. Though to be fair, there aren't too many variations. You may read in the original reviews for the game that it is buggy: that is definitely a past issue. I ran into only one serious bug and it is one that you are warned against in the readme file(No, I did not read it until after I hit the bug. Yes, I am just that smart :P ). If you like CRPGs along the lines of Arx Fatalis or Ultima Underworld you will like this one.

Great Franchise
This is one of the best rpg's ever, ever since i play it it always gave me a feeling of a real hardcore rpg game and feels like a world that swallows you in and spits you out. You are a rookie that has to grow and prove yourself and believe me the road to fame and glory isnt presented you on a silver plate. There are a lots of quests and ways to do it but if you finish one doent mean your close to your goals no it takes more then that but the fun thing is you can do it on your own way, because some choices are maybe the easy way but you will notice the consiquences later on. And believe me there are choices in the game that makes you think hard what the best way is to do it. But what is a rpg without fighting, well thats is also fun in this game when you wonder around you find monsters that kill you in an instance so you have to think ahead can i defeat this one or do i go around it you are small fry that needs to train and I like that you have to train your skills and not that they pop up that you instanly can do that, that is what i call character development. Is there something bad about this game? Well I have to say this is not an easy game you can come to areas that are too hard and believe me at the start thats a lot of areas and the fighting has a bit of a hard learning curve you got to get trough, all in all its worth for you buck if you take your time to learn it and you will keep on playing it, as for me Im not very good at this game but I loved it and if youre an rpg fan i only can say get this game :)
