Godlike Burger puts you in the shoes of a maniac chef who makes the best burgers in the universe. The secret ingredient? The customers themselves! Run the restaurant, cook delicious burgers and kill lots of aliens. But be careful – leave no witnesses uncooked!
During the day, different aliens arrive to taste those delicious burgers at your space restaurant. Well, or to be killed and turned into minced meat. The freezers don’t fill themselves, right? You can attack them head-on with your trusty meat cleaver or use a variety of traps to dispose of them in more creative ways.
At night you have time to upgrade kitchen appliances and traps, buy supplies and cook “secret sauces”. Maybe the police are starting to suspect you? Better relocate your flying restaurant to a different planet, or pay a little bribe. You can’t have pesky cops around while trying to become the galaxy’s most famous burger restaurant!
Key Features
Cook the best burgers and turn your pitiful diner into the universe’s most famous restaurant. More prestige means more customers, new planets to visit and more money!
Kill your customers with a range of hidden traps, deadly sauces or the good old meat cleaver!
Improve your kitchen and find out what each alien race likes - uncover the secret of the perfect burger.
Explore the galaxy and its worlds. There are different alien species and their individual strengths and weaknesses to discover.
Don’t get caught! Leave no witnesses and keep the police’s suspicion low by playing and planning smartly.
Manage your restaurant at night to do what every good restaurant owner must do: cook new “sauces”, buy ingredients and upgrade your kitchen, traps and weapons.
Complete quests and solve dozens of different problems from clogged toilets and meteor showers to zombie attacks.
The game is funny. Killing aliens using tentacle traps, ventilator or hack them with your butchers cleaver (reminds me of the famous butcher).
But the controls are horrible. This is definitely a console port with horrible menus and horrible controls. You can however change some of the controls to a some kind of standard configuration, however using the ESC to leave a menu is not possible because you open the main menu from everywhere.
Mouse is not supported at all.
If you can attach to console keys or using a game pad this is less awkward but if you tend to use keyboard/mouse this is game not the best choice.
I think this is underrated, I had fun with it.
I like the general idea, the style and music and especially how the story is told by these small funny comic strips.
The game has kind of a roguelite approach. When you die you start from scratch except for your upgrades and the safe contents. And in the beginning you will probably die mulitple times, but that gets better eventually.
In the late game some things get a bit too easy. That's the time to complete all the upgrades and have fun with trying everything you couldn't do before.
Replayability is not a big thing, you have seen everything after one playthrough. Maybe in a few months/years I will play it again cause I like the gameplay loop.
I hardly recommend playing with controller, keyboard really isn't fun.
