Ghostrunner

This game can get a bit annoying at times, knowing you dodged a shot but then get pegged in the side by an npc on a nother platform. The game keeps you on your toes, enforces the fact that you need to keep on moving no matter what. The enemies are pretty brutal also, one shot kills, and their aim is really good, so it makes reading when they are going to shoot important, and the game gives plenty of cues of when an npc is going to shoot. I would say this game is easy to jump in the movement is fluid, easy and basic, however if you master it you basically will be a blur in the eyes of the enemy. The Dev team has added some additional content one catered towards the hardcore and the other is an endless mode where you can really put your skills to the test. WHAT ANNOYS ME THOUGH is that there is no CUSTOMIZATION OR LEVEL CREATOR, this game is ripe for some awesome custom content made by the community, I could totally see players making some awesome epic movement and combat based levels. I do think the dev team said it might be on their list so I do look forward to having that mode. If the cutome map maker mode or something similar is implemented this game will be a 5 star must buy.

It sets out to be a fast movement hyper action instant restart game similar to Hotline Miami or Katana Zero.

Really cool mechanics and gameplay and the level design was top-notch. It was a nice change from the usual fps; the parkour was splendid, allowing you to quickly doge and get close to enemies, and I loved deflecting bullets. Good balance: the game was just the right difficulty (for me, some other people have said that this isn't for casuals and I agree) where it wasn't too easy or too hard and I really enjoyed the challenge. The checkpoints were spaced well so that I didn't have to redo the same bit over and over again till I finally completed a really long section flawlessly (in my opinion, when games do this it's just really frustrating and takes more time; it doesn't add to the experience at all). I've seen a couple of people saying that being one-shot to everything makes it too hard, but I disagree; if you weren't it would be too easy (if you could survive even one hit, I think that the difficulty would be almost halved), probably promote camping strats, and sorta detach you from the game (it makes sense that Ghostrunner would die instantly to most of these attacks). The environment and graphics are also great and the game is amazingly optimized; I could run it at a smooth 144 fps on a 1660 super and an i5-8600 and it still looked amazing. The one issue I had with performance was that the game crashed 3 times on one particular section which was about 90% through a level, so I had to play the same 10-20 minute level 4 times due to no fault of my own (this was so annoying that this would have bumped down my rating to a 4.5 if there was an option, but don't let this deter you from buying this game; it was a very minor nuisance in the grand scheme of things). Overall it's great game, in almost every way, and well worth the price (got it for free during prime gaming promotion, but had I known it would be this good I would have bought it full price if I had to). I strongly recommend it. One more thing: you can disable gore if you want, so don't let that deter you.

Visual is cyberpunk lebels without the bugs or frame drops. GPU doesnt have to be crazy for you to run it either. Was looking for a new game and this was amazing. Not extremely long but defiantely not short. Story was amazing too. Its not uncommon to die 100 if not more times on each "level", but everytime you learn something about it and can use that to tweak your strategy. Overall such a fun game and again the visuals are incredible
