A beautiful landscape to explore and great characters to interact with, a touch to detail that will pull you in and guide you in an amazing adventure.

I was quite excited to try this. It seemed to have a very unique and interesting setting. However, just a few hours in and I lost all interest. I tried forcing myself to play this a few times, but each time I enjoyed it even less. I think it had great potential, with a nostalgia invoking atmosphere, but the pacing and controls just didn't work for me. I had some troubles with controller too, never managed to get it to work properly. Considering the high rating for this game, it's probably a good game for the right audience, but that was not me.

I've just finished this game. It was worth every cent and more! This game is a hybrid: It has some RPG characteristics (finding and changing gear, gain levels, but not battle as such) and a stealth mechanism. But in it's heart it's a classic adventure game. It has that feel. It has everything a good adventure game hopes to have including interesting memorable characters, a well-written plot with twists and mystery and things to be revealed, cute pieces of clothing to discover and make full costumes which provide certain perks and more! I definitely recommend this game to all fantasy adventure fans and everyone else! Plus, supporting this up-and-coming developer will surely bring us many more awesome, fresh games in the future! Excellent game in the vein of a Thief: The Dark Project title, in which your strongest weapon is to be unseen. If you play Ghost of a Tale correctly, nobody need even know you ever left your jail cell. Charming world full of lore and stories and letters to find and read, building up a fantastic world of mice and rats and ferrets and frogs, very much inspired by classics like Redwall, Rats of NIMH and Brambly Hedge. Five stars, highly recommended, one of the best titles in the past 5 years to surprise me out of the independent game market.

How did I miss this one? Flew right past me last year, and I didn't even notice! Anyway, my kid and I are having an enchanted time playing through Ghost of a Tail together. I watch her as she voice acts all of the dialogue as she progresses through this amazing adventure, and then later surpassing her progress on my own save file, laughing at her that she has too much homework to be able to play right now and that I am a much better mouse bard/thief than she'll EVER BE! HAHAHAH!! Yes, it's good.
