Description
The Geneforge Saga is an epic RPG that gives you tremendous freedom and non-linear gameplay as you determine the fate of a world. Take on the role of either a Shaper, who commands an army of powerful creations, or a Rebel fighting against everything the Shapers stand for. If you prefer to sling magic at your enemies, the Sorceress will be a perfect choice with her vast array of debilitating spells and hexes. Play a free-willed Servile, regain your freedom, and fight the Shapers’ hegemony with your own army. Engage in diplomacy as you work for various factions that rule the world of Geneforge or grind the factions under your heel and take power for yourself.

This will be one of your top 5 RPGs ever

One of the better RPGs you'll ever play. Gameplay is pretty much fallout's turn based system but with Baldur's Gate team tactics. The story easily surpases both. You have to accept bad graphics but to a real gamer, that shouldn't ever be an issue.

Awesome RPG

Now it may take a while to get used to as it did with me but once you get into the swing of things with these 5 games then you really enjoy them, the graphics may not be much to look at but that shouldnt matter since its the story and gameplay that count

I was late to catch on to spiderweb software's magnum opus but glad to have finally arrived. I would Urge all of my fellow GOG Cogs to take a chance and see if it suits you. The one negative review above is fuming with emotion and subjective gobble-di-goo...So much that i thought I was reading a game informer. :) That's fine as it is his/her opinion..... Alas, do not be discouraged by any of the 'points' brought up in said "review". Having played geneforge as well as avernum, They are both excellent and the mechanics are SOUND. That is all.
