Gemini Rue

Absolutely loved this game. It has dated graphics, but the story and game play is superb. The biggest thing for me was the setting: A sort of dystopian future with a real grimy cyberpunk feel to it. It's not overly challenging with puzzles for an adventure game, but not easy enough to call it a spoon-fed adventure. The story is unprecedented, it's almost like a good book, you'll find yourself hooked on it and eagerly playing to see what happens. At the end of the game, I was in awe, reflecting upon what was one of the best games I've ever played, and yet never heard of. It's also worth mentioning the music is top notch with many memorable tracks. "Sayuri" being my favorite. Completely sets the atmosphere. If you don't own this, and like adventure games, and Cowboy Bebop (if you've seen the anime, you're in for a treat, as there are in-game cameos of the characters!) Get it right away!

A well written and believable story, great voice acting, and nicely drawn environments make this a great experience. The graphics are VGA, as a stylistic choice, and they paid a lot of attention to detail in making it look good. The gameplay is reminiscent of classic mouse driven adventure games, but thankfully the developers decided to forgo the frustration of dialogues where a single wrong choice ends the game. The gameplay quickly became unobtrusive, and left just a great gaming and storytelling experience.

Gemini Rue is a tight little point and click game, with an excellent story. Definitely worth the price if you like the genre or a good story.

Point & click adventure. Fascinating scenario & design - and then the beginning of the game is quite fun . After the first part, switching the character, i lost all interest. As a lover of classics adventure, I really can't understand the enthusiastic reviews. Maybe it's the lack of irony, that got me lost.

Personally, I had never really gotten into a point-and-click before. I decided to break out of my standard routine and I am really glad. This game was captivating, interesting and challenging. It wasn't difficult to the point of frustration or repetitive to the point of boredom, as I had previously expected from the genre. If you are thinking about trying a point-and-click and love a good sci-fi mystery with a great story, download this.
