A Blurry Mess to the Eyes

I picked this up because I enjoyed Broken Sword 1 and thought it would be similar. Unfortunately, the graphics are so low resolution it was causing eye strain. After getting frustrated I consulted a guide and discovered I'd missed several items hiding as a pixel in the background. First I had to use the "look" icon, then the "open" icon, then the "take" icon, on a pixel. Don't buy this. Get the newer version. Your eyes will thank you.

Terribly good

For the time, this ws some super high quality story telling & a solid engine. However, it continued with the pixel-hunting trend & the "just try everything with everything" brute force approach of the genre. Also, the well-worn "good hearted womanizer" hero & "spunky, streetwise, acid tongued" assistant were old & repulsive even then.

Audio OK, Horrible Graphics :(

I was looking forward to being able to play this game but the quality of the graphics are so bad, it's making it difficult for me to see exactly what I'm trying to do.

Lot of hype not much punch

Although the game did have alot of character depth, there wasn't any exciting twists or turns.

Disappointing

After reading the glowing reviews, I wonder if I was playing the same game. The graphics are crude, even by 1993 standards. The game interface is very clumsy, having to choose between so many controls; you can't just walk to a door, you have to "open" it as well. You can't just look at something, you have to choose the magnifying glass. It's difficult to know what to do next or what to look for. And the voiceover acting is BORING!!!
