The best ever

I love this game. The story and graphic are amazing, still considering the time it was made.

A wonderful trip back in time

For me, Full Throttle is the game that started it all, it's what started my love for videogames, rock and motorcycles. This game made it's mark on my personality and took me where no other game ever did. This is why i bought the remastered version, to honor it. Looking back, i still think the game is fantastic even though it's kind of short (the commentary mentions large amounts of the game were cut due to deadlines), it's still remarkably immersing for a game back in the 90's. Now, as for the remaster, even though it has taken me on a wonderful trip back in time and given me delicious fun facts through the commentary, i'm slightly disappointed by a few things. I've encountered a few bugs with the sound, also game got stuck at some point, i felt like maybe it deserved a bit more polishing. On top of that, i'm disappointed with the low amount of goodies being offered. I mean yeah, the around 145 concept art snaps that are accesible in game are fantastic, and the jukebox sounds great but honestly i'm certain a bit more effort could have been put into this. Maybe making the Soundtrack/Concept Art downloadable? Also the game manual would have been wonderful. (I still have mine but time made its mark on it. Also why isn't the main theme "Legacy" in the Jukebox? Pretty sure it's not there. Anyway, i truly hope someday we'll see a sequel, maybe it's not really your typical moneymaker but the Full Throttle universe still has some amazing potential. Some people might still be sour over Spacebase and stuff, but some of us still remember the good old days. Cheers Tim, and the whole crew. Thank you for Full Throttle. Give'em Hell, Polecats!

A real classic

It is not a very long game. Well, not if you've played it already. Since it is linear, the game doesn't have much replay value other than reliving the story again. When I played this game (when it first was released) I loved it, the atmosphere, the music, and its somewhat simple story. And I am happy to play this game again. And yes, it is old.. I admit that. But I have to say that most games don't age this well, and certainly not many games from that era. So if if you want a good game, that isn't too challenging, but quite enjoyable (if you lilke bikes too, that certainly helps) There aren't many of those around. Not that will stick in your mind like this one at least. Then get this game. It is a very enjoyable game, and one that I think will still be quite playable down the road again. My only whish is that Double Fine takes this opportunity to create a new game in this setting. I've missed it, and would like to revisit this world again.

Fun Frustration

Full Throttle is a Point & Click with action sequences that seem oddly out of place. It has humour, bikes, and great music if you like rock; it's also kind of annoying. First, those action sequences. You basically drive around on your bike and punch people, throw acid at them, or hit them with a chainsaw. (The funny part is that the main character Ben gets framed for a murder he didn't commit, but I'm pretty sure I ended up watching him murder at least three people over the course of the game, which to be honest I don't mind because they were all pricks and probably deserved it.) Anyway, the gameplay here is fine, I suppose, just not amazing, and the game could honestly do without. Second, Ben is the slowest man alive. Of course you don't have to do too much walking, but when you do, you'll probably feel an urge to shove Ben off a cliff just to see him go fast for once – without his bike, that is. There's also the fact that almost every time you switch screens while on the bike, you get a tiny little cutscene of Ben turning and driving off, which is neat, but gets old quickly. Occasionally, there is a semi-hidden timer, meaning if you don't click fast enough, you'll just die. Other times you have to do one thing after another, less obvious thing, or you'll have to do the first thing again because it failed. Of course, as a Point & Click, it also has some obscure puzzle solutions which I won't spoil, but that just comes with the genre sometimes. If you can put up with these nitpicks, you'll get a fun 3-4 hours out of this, and even though I was annoyed, I'd still recommend it. I like that this edition lets you switch between classic and remastered graphics/sound while playing, for a side by side comparison. While I'm not personally a fan of the updated graphics – same goes for DotT and Monkey Island – I think they are very well done and the sound definitely needed some polish.
